• Calls, emails and messages. If you phone, email or message us (including through WhatsApp), we keep the details you give us so we can respond and do the work.
• Website usage information. We use Google Analytics to see how the website is used, such as pages viewed, device and browser type, and approximate location. This may use cookies or similar identifiers.

Why we collect it

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, provide free quotes, arrange and carry out garage door work, deal with warranty enquiries, keep the website secure and understand how the website is used. We ask only for the details we need for these purposes.

How enquiry forms are handled

• Website enquiries are sent by email to an authorised Affordable Garage Doors administrator and may also be stored securely within the website for enquiry management purposes.
• Emails are sent through Microsoft Outlook. The website keeps a log of sent emails for 14 days.
• The website’s database is hosted by our website hosting provider, Cloudways.
• We keep enquiry information only for as long as we reasonably need it for our business, for warranty enquiries and to meet legal requirements.

Cookies and analytics

Google Analytics (through the Google tag) collects information about how visitors use this website. It may set cookies or use similar identifiers in your browser. The information is processed by Google. You can block cookies in your browser settings, or use Google’s browser opt-out add-on.

Third-party services on this website

Some content is loaded from other companies, which can receive technical information such as your IP address and browser details when your browser requests it:

• Google Fonts (text styling).
• Google Maps (map on the Contact page).
• Trustindex (displays our Google reviews).
• Links to WhatsApp and Google open those services, which have their own privacy policies.

Who we share information with

We share information with the service providers named above so we can run the website, send email and respond to you, and where the law requires it. Some of these providers, including Google and Microsoft, may store or process information outside New Zealand.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information. The website keeps a security log of administrator activity. No website or email system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Your rights: access and correction
